These cupcakes are loaded with carrots. I have been experimenting with different piping tools and mixing colors for frosting cupcakes. I want the cupcakes to look noticeably different although a lot of the cupcakes have cream cheese frosting. I think I will also use a different piping tip for them next time I make them. Previously, I used larger gummy carrot pieces as toppers and I see that these mini candy carrots I used on these cupcakes are much smaller than I expected.
A friend of mine requested carrot cupcakes for her birthday. I had to jazz them up because it was for her birthday and she’s a jazzy lady.
I frosted these cupcakes with green cream cheese frosting using a grass frosting tip and topped them with a candy bunny.
I melted vanilla candy into a mold then used edible markers to make the eyes and nose on the bunny. I also made the mini Easter eggs out of cake and dipped them in melted candy coating then used sprinkles to decorate them.
Yes… This was a lot of work but it’s all from scratch.
I thought my long day of baking was a success. The cupcakes looked great. I purchased cupcake stands and Leis from Walmart. I taped the flower strings to the strips before placing them on the display. I used the extra flowers for decorating the display table. Don’t waste you money buying these cheap umbrellas from Walmart. Most of them broke when I tried ton open them. I ended up using clear tape to keep them open.
